Tips Break your social media addiction by automatically turning your iPhone grayscale when you open social media apps

Edit: WHY?!? Because social media is way less addicting in grayscale. Doesn’t give you the same dopamine hit and is way less appealing.
  1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the App Store.
  2. Tap on the "Automation" tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap on the "+" button in the upper-right corner to create a new automation.
Select "App" as the trigger for the automation.
  4. Choose the social media app that you want to trigger the automation. You can select multiple apps if you want the automation to apply to all of them.
  5. Tap "Next" in the upper-right corner.
  6. Tap "Add Action" to add an action to the automation.
7.In the search bar, type "grayscale" and select "Set Color Filters" from the list of suggested actions.
  7. Tap "Next" in the upper-right corner.
  8. Name the automation and tap "Done" to save it.
Repeat these steps for color filters to turn off when you close the apps.

Now, every time you open the selected social media app(s), your iPhone will automatically turn on grayscale color filters. You can customize this automation further by adding additional actions or conditions as desired.
@emkailney Social media is way more boring in grayscale. All the bright colors release dopamine. Grayscale doesn’t give your brain as much dopamine. So I’m on social media apps way less.
@lcr0111 The "why" is the most important part. This should be the first sentence. The way your post is currently written, you're just telling someone to do something without explaining why, which isn't going to get much response.

People don't care about what you do, they care about why you do it
